Hand building with clay is a wonderful beginner's introduction to ceramics. This class will focus on creating a variety of pottery forms by using techniques of working with clay without the use of the pottery wheel. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will learn fundamental hand building method such as slab building, coil building, and pinching. Learn the basics needed to make your own functional and decorative ceramic objects from start to finish.

Designed for beginners as well as those with previous pottery experience. This course is a project-based format with some room for personal touches. By the end of the course you will have a minimum of 4 finished pieces and lots of new skills.

Over the course of 4 classes, this course offers young artists the opportunity to explore their creativity while experiencing the messy fun of clay. Through open-ended clay play, students will learn the fundamentals of working with clay, including coil building, pinching, slab techniques, and an introduction to wheel throwing. They’ll also explore glazing and surface design to bring their pieces to life. No prior experience is needed.

Monday Evenings | May 4th-June 15th | 6:30PM-9:30PM |

Take your skills to another level. In this 7 weeks course you will be receiving personalized instruction to perfect your craft. Perfect for those with experience who want to level up and be challenged. Weekly group classes run year-round in 5 semesters, with each semester lasting 7 weeks. Class meets once a week for 3 hours, with up to 10 students per class.

This 7-week course introduces the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing. Designed for both beginners and those with prior pottery experience, the course follows a project-based format that leaves plenty of room for personal creativity. By the end, you’ll take home your own finished pieces along with a solid set of new skills. All clay and tools are provided.

Sundays| May 10th- May 31st | 1PM-3PM|

In this four week course, young students will learn fundamental clay hand-building techniques for both functional and sculptural work such as pinch pots, slab building, and coil building through open- ended projects, as well as, an introduction to pottery wheel throwing. Students will then learn techniques for glazing their work. This course runs for four weeks with two hour sessions, there are up to 6 students per class.

Occurs every 2 weeks on Friday Evenings| 7:00PM-9:00PM | $90 | Join us for a one day wheel throwing class. Perfect for beginners as well as those with previous pottery experience. In this 2h workshop you will learn the steps for wheel throwing and get to decorate and shape your finished pieces. The instructor finish them by trimming, glazing and firing them. They will be available to pick up 3 weeks after the workshop. This is a great way to start the weekend. BYOB and have some fun with us!

Sunday Afternoon | April 26th and Sunday May 3rd | 1-3 PM |Join us for a 2 day wheel throwing class. Perfect for beginners as well as those with previous pottery experience. The first workshop students will learn the steps for wheel throwing and shaping their own pieces. Day two students will get to trim and decorate pieces made the first session. Finished pots will be available to pick up 3 weeks after the workshop. All materials included.

April 26th | 4:00-7:00 PM | $120

Using clay hand-building skills, students will learn to roll long slabs of clay to create their own hand-built cake-stand. The building process is simple, making this workshop accessible to beginners. Use your own personal creativity to decorate your cake-stand with small 3D details and carved patterns. The perfect way to spend your Sunday afternoon!

Join us for a 2 hour nature inspired clay workshop to celebrate motherhood. Create a plate or dish with the impression/shape of a leaf of your choice. Work together to make a set. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn slab rolling, cutting, shaping clay, painting, and texture design. No prior pottery experience needed. All materials provided. Ages 13 and up. BYOB and light snacks!
