Our woodworking classes are specifically designed and adjusted to cater towards all skill levels! We do not offer specialized woodworking classes based on skill level. We like to have our classes filled with students of different woodworking experience to help students inspire each other and foster a close-knit art community!

All new students typically begin their first semester working on two foundational projects: carving a wooden spoon and building a small keepsake box. In the second semester, beginner students will take on more intermediate projects such as a stool or side-table. As students become more comfortable with hand tools and studio equipment, they are encouraged to take on more complex projects.

With our extensive woodworking shop filled with a variety of machinery and hand-tools, the possibilities are endless! Some students will bring in salvaged wood to create their own pieces. Some students prefer to focus on bowl-turning in our lathe toolroom, spending their time making wooden vessels. Others bring in inspiration pictures and with the help of our woodworking team at Studio Andreas, they are able to create their dream pieces! Once students go through the beginner and intermediate wooden projects, they are able to create whatever they like!

Woodworking classes have the ability for students to work independently and collaboratively! While each student works, our teachers will hop around, helping each student with any questions or concerns they might have. Advanced woodworking students might work more independently but will also always ask for help and guidance. Pending on each student’s skills, knowledge, and learning style, our teachers will cater towards each student, always being on-site to help with any problem that arises.
-
As of right now, our woodworking semester classes are priced at $550 for 7 sessions.

Always inform your instructor if you have to miss a class. Pending on the instructor’s availability and class size, students will have the opportunity to makeup one class in any other open woodworking class being offered during the same semester. If you plan on missing several classes, we cannot always guarantee to accommodate multiple makeup sessions unless it is an emergency. Multiple absences are reviewed on a case by case basis.

"The class is fun. The instructors are very knowledgeable and focus on safety. Students first learn how to use hand tools through a simple project and then are introduced to the power tools. I signed up for a second class b/c I really enjoyed building the first two projects. The class is filled with people of all levels. The selection and quality of tools enables an experienced student to build sophisticated items or a novice to improve their woodworking skills."
