Enroll your children in our 2026 Kids Summer Sessions! Studio Andreas is offering special programming for young artists wanting to explore their creativity this summer. We have classes in all disciplines: Woodworking, Textile, Ceramics, Drawing and more! We hope to see you in the summer!

3-Week Jewelry Making Summer Teens Session (Ages 13-18)

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 1:30-3:30 PM | August 4th- 20th | In this 3 week jewelry course for teens, students will learn a range of jewelry-making methods and techniques to create unique pieces such as earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Throughout the course, students will learn how the fundamentals of wire-wrapping, knotting pearls, and jewelry design. Students will learn how to plan out their projects, from choosing their materials to designing pieces. This class is open to all skill levels.

  • Students will learn the different tools of jewelry making and how to use them. They will learn how to choose materials based on their individual projects, correctly size their pieces, lay out their design, and choose the best method to finish their pieces.

  • This week, students will learn the basics of creating wire-wrapped jewelry by designing and making bracelets and wire set pendants. Students will also use this week to begin thinking about what they would like to create for their final projects and begin their design process.

  • This week is all about handing the students the reins and letting their creativity run free. By this point, students will have learned several different jewelry-making techniques using a variety of materials. Now in their final week, they can mix and match methods and materials to make a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that is all their own.

Monday-Friday | 1-4PM | August 3rd- 21st |This intensive three-week program is designed for high school students interested in exploring textile arts and building work for their college application portfolios. Students will gain comprehensive weaving skills while developing their personal artistic voice through structured exploration and independent project development.

3-Week Pre-College Textile Summer Session (Ages 13-18)

  • Students will be introduced to the essential principles of weaving, learning proper loom setup, understanding warp and weft relationships, and mastering basic weaving techniques. Through hands-on instruction, participants will explore weave structure and tapestry techniques while building a strong technical foundation. By the end of the week, students will have completed initial practice pieces and gained confidence working in the the textile art of weaving.

  • This week focuses on deepening technical skills and discovering personal aesthetic direction. Students will experiment with diverse materials—from traditional fibers to unconventional natural and found materials—while exploring how different textures, colors, and structures express meaning in their work. Through creating multiple samples and variations, students will refine their technique, document their process, and develop a cohesive concept for their final portfolio piece.

  • Students will bring their vision to life, creating a completed woven work ready for college applications. With instructor guidance, participants will execute their final project, learn techniques, and articulate their creative process. The week culminates in a critique session where students present their finished pieces and artist statements, gaining valuable experience in discussing their work in an academic context.

FAQs

How much does a week session cost?

Each weekly summer session is priced at $450, this includes woodworking, drawing, ceramics, and textiles. Advanced pre-college courses are priced at $500 and are usually a time commitment of longer than one week.

Can I bring my kid early to camp?

Unfortunately, no. We ask that all parents and guardians come into class at the starting time. If it is an absolute emergency, please email us immediately.

Can I sign my kid up for multiple weekly sessions?

Of course! Our camp design is specialized for kids to be able to take one or more weekly youth sessions!

Should my kid pack a lunch?

Since our weekly sessions are only three hours per day, we do not have a designated lunch period so we ask that students do not pack a lunch. They are welcomed to pack allergy friendly light snacks and a water bottle! If your kid has special allergies, please let us know to inform other students in the class to avoid bringing that allergen into the classroom.

Can my kid take both the Youth and Teen Summer Session?

Unfortunately, we are only offering strict age grouping for the summer sessions. Students are not able to take back-back classes. Additionally, if your kid is 12, they must be enrolled in the Youth Session not the Teen Session.
